NDCML provides an academically challenging curriculum with a magnet focus in foreign languages/international studies. We also teach the critical leadership and life skills of empathy and emotional intelligence.

About Our School

North Dade Center for Modern of Language (CML) knows the nation’s success depends on narrowing and eliminating student achievement gaps. CML embraces diversity through positive and compassionate perspectives that spreads beyond classroom walls and students. That is why student-centered learning, second language acquisition and cultural competencies are at the heart of the CML mission. The aim is to teach the ‘whole child’ so they may attain future success in today’s interconnected societies.

What we offer

NDCML offers a French International Education (IE) Program where students learn to speak, read, and write in French. The French IE Program exposes students to literature, mathematics, social studies, and science in French.

CML’s Spanish International Education (IE) program engages students to learn how to read and write in the Spanish language. The Spanish IE magnet curriculum exposes students to literature, mathematics, social studies, and science in Spanish.

The Spanish International Studies (IS) Program, an advanced and rigorous second language program, offers XXX hours of Spanish a daily. Students participating in the IS program follow the official curriculum of Spain and traditional Florida state standards and benchmarks.

The school's mission is to prepare all students for the challenges ahead by providing an academically enriched environment. We encourage creativity and promote analytical and reflective thinking. It is hoped that our students will acquire multicultural experiences and mutual respect on the road to becoming multilingual and multi-literate citizens in an increasingly internationalized workforce.
